At ProjectEncore, we believe theater is about so much more than learning lines and performing on stage. It's a place where students discover confidence, develop their unique gifts, build lasting friendships, and learn the value of creativity, discipline, and teamwork. Through high-quality theater arts training in a Christ-centered environment, we strive to create a community where every student is encouraged to grow as a performer, a leader, a friend, and a reflection of the Creator who made them. Whether it's a child's first time on stage or they're preparing for their next big role, ProjectEncore is a place where every student belongs, is challenged, and is inspired to shine.
ProjectEncore began in the winter of 2020 with the simple idea to create a place where students could make theater together in a distinctly Christian environment. When the pandemic brought traditional productions to a halt, founder Megan Gilbert gathered a group of young performers to present Peter Pan in a backyard. What started as a creative response to a challenging season quickly became something much more.
From those humble beginnings, ProjectEncore has grown into a thriving theater arts program serving students of all ages. While our productions, programs, and community have expanded, our mission has remained the same: to provide high-quality theater training that develops confident performers, meaningful friendships, and Christ-centered leaders.
At the heart of everything we do is the desire to reflect the Creator through excellence, creativity, and community. We believe the performing arts are a powerful way for students to discover their God-given gifts, grow in confidence, and encourage others. As Jesus said in Matthew 5:16:
"In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."
This verse is the foundation of Project Encore. Whether students are center stage, behind the scenes, or serving their fellow cast members, our prayer is that they would use the gifts God has given them to let His light shine.
ProjectEncore seeks to develops performance skills in kids of all ages through quality theater arts training that encourages excellence, community, and leadership while reflecting the Creator.
